Whimsy Stamps ~ Release Week Day 3

Hey there lovelies. I'm back as promised with my second post for our New Digital Release at Whimsy Stamps. I don't think I've posted so many times in one week before, hehe. It's been a super busy day today too. I took Georgie to archery first thing this morning, stopped in for a cuddle with Paddington Bear at Newmarket Station where they were running a promo for the day, went to a special movie screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off with Georgie and one of my besties and then prom' dress shopping for Georgie. It's all on right now! Hubby took our wee lad to a Christmas party we were all supposed to be attending. Talk about everything happening in one day! Phew!! The sun is still shining, so I think it's Pimm's o'clock whilst I write my blog post, hehe.

I'm firmly in Christmas creating mode given the chance. So today, I have created a fun gift bag with one of the images from our latest digital release. There are just so many gorgeous papers and images and sentiments too. It's hard to know what to work with first! I'd planned to create something with a completely different paper set, because, it is divine and you're so gonna LOVE it! But this lil' guy, just begged to be coloured up and once I started colouring him, the whole project came together so easily. So this became my second DT post for our new release week and I'll post the other creation in the next couple of weeks.

I've coloured this cute elf from the Santa's Helpers Set from Whimsy Stamps with my copics and as I still have a limited supply of colours, I've used the more yellow green copics to colour along with my reds. But I love the way this turned out. Not the bright greens I would usually reach for when Christmas crafting, but I love this green, so I'm really pleased with this creation. I even masked and used a fun Scandinavian design stamp I had in my stash to create the patterns on some of the parcels. So fun! The spots on the parcel were created with Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal drops. There is a shimmer to the red on the 'Sweet' sentiment which in reality looks sparkly, as I used a Wink of Stella pen in red to ink this. The candy in the word 'Holiday' has glossy accents over it for sheen and dimension.

I also decorated a wee tag for the bag, which I've edged with red ink then added a cut down doily, so that it better fit the circle and one of the sentiments from another one of the gorgeous sentiment sets from the new release. This set is called Christmas Trimmings and it has some really lovely sentiments. I thought this one fit so well with the cute elf picture. I added a wee gingham bow and a little red heart brad to finish the tag. Sweet and simple.
