Dream Valley ~ Flowers
It's time for a new Dream Valley challenge and it's a fun and simple one this week. Flowers! How easy is that?!! I know most of us use some floral touches on our creations. So come on over and join in with us!
My challenge card I also made for a family birthday and it came together very quickly. I used a lovely floral topper that I picked up some years ago from the Alexandra Palace Craft fair in London from a store called 'Every Craft's A Pound'. They had some gorgeous papers and I found a really lovely set of vellum and paper floral toppers and some Christmas toppers. This floral image was amongst them.
I wanted to use a fun 'patchwork' paper as the person I was giving this to is a quilter, so I thought this would appeal to her. It's from a pretty paper pad that came with one of my favourite craft magazines. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the base layer of the image mat which I tied with a gold organza ribbon. I've rounded most of the corners to reflect the curved lines in the base card. I have quite a few sets of beautiful wooden buttons from Prima, so I found one that matched well with the papers and tied a bow through it and added a birthday tag. The main sentiment is an older digital sentiment, from DigiStamp Boutique.
The Dream Valley girls have been hard at work putting together their Design Team cards for your inspiration, so do pop on over to the challenge blog and have a look at all their wonderful creations. They have mad talent those girlies and I constantly count myself blessed to be amongst them.
Thanks for popping in on my wee blog today. I love it when you visit! I'll be popping round to see you all after a wee bit of a snoozy. It's after midnight here, so I'm off to bed. Hugs, Wends x
