Fab 'n' Funky - Ribbons, Ribbons, Ribbons
Oh dear! Spring break is really messing with my mojo! Love my kiddos and it's awesome hanging out, but there's no time for anything but them really when they're off school and Playcentre. So here I am after the starting gun, with my 'Anything with a Ribbon' make for our latest Fab 'n' Funky Challenge. My teamies really are the best. Their cards were up and looking gorgeous when I checked this morning, so do swing on by the challenge blog and leave them a little love.
We are super stoked to be sponsored by The Ribbon Girl for this challenge. So it's fitting that Wendy chose the theme 'Anything with a Ribbon' for this challenge. The lucky winner will receive a generous ten pounds to spend at The Ribbon Girl. Who wouldn't love that?!!
I made this card with the gorgeous Lili of the Valley 'All Our Dreams' stamp, which comes with a sweet sentiment. I also have another gorgeous baby stamp from Lili of the Valley and on this occasion used the sweet matching sentiment from that set. I've coloured the image with my fabulous Promarkers as always and added some touches of Stickles here and there around the image for a touch of magic. I utterly adore this enchanting baby stamp and I use it often for newborn cards. I do have other gorgeous ones, but this is definitely my 'go to' stamp.

I used a very pretty paper for my make from the Fairy Belle collection designed by Jodie Lee for Prima Marketing. These papers are enchanting and I just loved the dark plum shades in this paper. Not colours I would go for first for a baby card, warm deep Autumn shades, but having had a bit of a disaster with my colouring, I chose to colour over my initial baby suit colour with a deeper plum shade, so when I was hunting through my paper stack to find a good fit, this jumped out as a good option and man am I pleased I went with that instinct. I LOVE how the paper worked with this card.
Wendy's fabulous theme is all about the ribbons for this challenge. So my sweet baby make has been finished with a lush plum coloured bow using my favourite ever ribbon tie, which as you know (repeat after me) is Jak Heath's Double Bow! I LOVE this ribbon tie, particularly for organza ribbon, it just looks so fabulous and makes the bow that bit more lush and special than an ordinary single bow. Thank you Jak, if only you knew how many times I've used your fabulous tutorial!
I don't always decorate the insides of my cards, but this was a special make so I went the extra mile. So here's a peek at the inside, which I've decorated with the same divine paper and a square cut the with the same fabulous stitched edge die as I've used on the image. The die is from the stitched edge collection from Lil' Inkers. Which I found thanks to my lovely crafty pal Elaine, who uses these dies occasionally on her divine cards. I've drawn so much inspiration from her gorgeous crafty style, so pop on over for a peek. She's amazing!
Well that's it folks. I hope you've enjoyed having a looksy at my Fab 'n' Funky DT card today and I hope you'll head on over to the challenge blog and join in with us. It's a fabulously easy challenge this time, ribbons, ribbons, ribbons, so plenty of scope! Until next time, have a fabulous week. Hugs, Wends x

This is a gorgeous card, I've always loved that image and you have coloured it beautifully to match the ribbon. Beautiful paper choice and love the decorated inside too.
