Fab 'n' Funky ~ Christmas
I can't believe how fast Christmas is now approaching. I'm so glad we've been running a monthly Christmas challenge at Fab 'n' Funky. It's sure helped me get my Christmas card stash together a bit faster this year. It's time again for our next Christmas challenge at Fab 'n' Funky hosted by our lovely Chris. So get all your Christmas cheer flowing and join us for this week's challenge.
We are super excited to be sponsored by the wonderful Kenny K stamps this week and all the DT have been hard at work creating with these lovely images. I've gone for a slightly different twist this week. I've always really loved the cheeky Christmas song 'Santa Baby'. I love the Kylie Minogue version, but it's been done by Madonna, Taylor Swift and of course the iconic original 1953 version by Eartha Kitt. Cheeky, irreverent, grown up Christmas list, not at all what you want to be teaching your children to write to Santa! But this image just made my head and heart go straight there!
The awesome voluptuous image I've used is Kenny K's 'Foxy Mama'. I've never been a skinny pin, so I think this 'all woman' image is fabulous and really appealed to me with all those curves. I even cheekily coloured her up with my hair and eye colour. I think she's perfect for this cheeky alternative Christmas Eve Santa note.
I layered up the paper, lyrics and image before printing. I've used a blackboard paper, added the 'Santa Baby' lyrics in white and then inked up the Foxy Mama stamp with my Promarkers. I've used red and green on her dress to tie in with the Christmas theme and gave her sparkly green shoes to finish. I used Glitter Magic to add the sparkle to her shoes.
So what will you make for our Christmas challenge? I am so looking forward to seeing what you come up with. It's officially ONE MONTH until Christmas today! So there's not a lot of time left to do our Christmas preparations. We hope you'll come and join in the fun with us this week. Do stop by the blog and visit my talented teamies who've come up with some really fabulous Christmas creations with Kenny's awesome images. I'll be back again soon with my next crafty adventure. Hugs to you all, Wends x

As You Like It: Fav' Season ~ For me it's Christmas and more specifically, a 'Winter' Christmas. I grew up in New Zealand, so ours was always a Summer Christmas, which was weird when most of our commercial Christmas cards still depicted a British Winter Christmas! I love the Summer New Years here in NZ, bonfires on the beach, BBQ's and Summer fun, but Christmas never 'made sense' to me or felt right, until I lived in the UK and we had our first 'Winter Christmas'. Mulled Wine, Pepperkaker (Swedish Gingerbread), and warm fires and if we were really lucky - snow outside. So my favourite season is Christmas - Winter Christmas.
Update: I won a Top 3 prize from Kenny K's Krafty Krew. Thank you so much ladies! The Top 3 win one of Kenny's lovely images. Thank you so much. Congrats to my DT pal Pat K who won the challenge too!
