Sweet Stampin' ~ Presents

Hey there lovelies, I'm back today with my DT post for Sweet Stampin', it is of course time for a new challenge today and this week we would love to see any of your creations that feature a 'present' on them. Remember we are a 'stamping' challenge, so there must be stamping on your creation somewhere, but otherwise, the only other rule is it must feature a 'present'. I thought I was so organised for this challenge, as I was planning to use the card I'd made for my big sister's birthday this year, only I realised last minute, that it was balloons on her card, not presents! Doh! So I very hastily hunted through my stash for a stamp that would work and it was of course a fabulous Stamping Bella, which I have quite a growing collection of now! I really do need to get to inking more of them. The sentiment is from the same Stamping Bella set called Giftabella. Aptly named hey?!

I coloured the image up with a mix of Copic Markers and then added some Wink of Stella to the ribbons on the parcels for a little touch of sparkle. Never shows up well in pics, but it's so pretty in reality.

I had used a piece of paper from this lovely Kaisercraft Hummingbird paper set for my last creation, so the pad was still sitting on my craft desk and I flipped through it not expecting to find anything necessarily, just because it was there. I'd already coloured the image, so this sheet of paper just jumped out to me as a perfect fit for the colours I'd chosen. Love when things flow so easily like that. With such a busy paper, there was no real 'extra' embellishments necessary, so I just popped the image up on foam, having previously diecut it with a stitched frame die. Then I wrapped an old ribbon from a long ago munched on Lindt chocolate bunny around the card base, trimmed the tails and I was done.

My amazing teamies, who are never flying by the seat of their pants like I am, hehe, have prepared some AMAZING inspiration for you over on the challenge blog, so be sure to stop in and check out their gorgeous creations. If you're doing some birthday crafting, why not consider adding a present image or two in the mix and come and play along with us. We'd all love to see what you're inspired to do! I'm back again tomorrow with my second Whimsy Stamps New Release creation, so do pop back then, I'd love to share it with you. Big hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo
