Sweet Stampin' ~ Trees

Hey there lovely crafty pals. I'm here to bring you our latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week we are keen to see any crafty creations that feature trees. I think that's a fab challenge with Christmas so close now! I wonder what the ratio will be of Christmas to non Christmas entries?! 

Mine is a Christmas card and it uses the loveliest Maja Design paper which features Christmas trees. I also used a Memory Box border die that has a village scene with houses and trees. This reminds me so much of the time we spent in Sjöbo in Sweden with our dear friends over New Year. Snow covered everything and the fir trees lined the roads and fields. It was so beautiful! 

I actually made this card to accompany a little parcel to a friend in the UK and so kept the design quite flat for ease of posting. It's quite hard to read the sentiment in these pics, lighting wasn't fabulous when I took these. But in reality, the white stamping is subtle but lovely. I was playing with a white on white type theme and really love the softness of it.

Here's a closer peek at the sentiment, which reads "A joy that is shared, is a joy made double." I was sending a crafty treat with it, so I thought the sentiment worked quite well. It's a very CAS design, which would lend itself so well to some batch made Christmas cards, I must pull that border die out again and make some more!
