Hey crafty friends, I've been meaning to get this card blogged and time and health have not been my friend, so I've catching up a bit tonight. This cute image is from the Meljen's Collection at Whimsy and I think this is such a funny lil' scene, in reality, I'd be on a chair and screaming, hehe.
When I looked at this wee guy, I knew the sentiment I wanted to use straight away, don't you think that's what's going through this lil' guy's head?! I thought it was a perfect fit! I kept this card quite simple, distressed paper edges, straight over the card blank base, because you know I love pretty paper right and never want to cover much of it! This one, I think works incredibly well, as the paper had a light burst off to the side, exactly where the candles sit, which I think looks 'made to fit', so was delighted with this pairing. I don't use sequins often, but honestly, with the fab paper, a little sprinkle of sequins around the image was all this make needed to complete it.
It's disappointing that the pics don't show the sparkle on this card. There's plenty, but you need the light to hit it just right to show. I did manage to snap this shot under the spots though, which seem to bring out the sparkle very nicely!
Well that's my wee mousy in a cup and I'm heading off to bed, because it's pumpkin hour and though we are in lockdown, my work is essential services, so now that I'm better from my Shingles I'm back to work again. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Hugs, Wends xoxo
