Fab 'n' Funky - In Stitches

Hi ya gorgeous peeps. Boy that week flew past! It's time already for another fun and fabulous challenge at Fab 'n' Funky. This week it's my turn to run the challenge, yep, they've let me loose on the blog again! So just for laughs, I thought we'd well, er, have some laughs! This week, we want to see your funny creations, anything that'll give us a giggle.

If you're not finding life funny right now, how about you enter with the alternate play on words and show us your creations using stitching. Better still, do both! Make it funny and use stitching too!!

We are sponsored this week by the fun, quirky and fabulous Dr Digi's House of Stamps. You're sure to find something to make you smile when you visit this store.

I've used the fun 'Nessie' image from Dr Digi for my DT card this week. Coloured of course with my trusty Promarkers in multiple shades of green. I'm quite chuffed with how it came out as I'm not the most talented with ink. But I do so love my Promarkers, they're just so easy to get a good result from.

I wanted to include a cheeky quip about being a dinosaur, without being too irreverent as this card is going to my father-in-law! So after quite a bit of searching for an existing digi stamp that said something to that effect and failing miserably, I chose to make my own sentiment. It's not brilliant, and lacks the clever font finishes that bought sentiments have, but it worked in a pinch.

I hope my father-in-law will see the humour in this, it's written from the kiddies after all! It's a very CAS card for me this week, as I'm packing in preparation for an 8 hour road trip down to our home town to visit my husbands family. His Nana turns 100 soon, so we will be celebrating this great lady this weekend and I've lots to do before then. I've given the card a simple finish, with inked edges, faux stitching courtesy of a fabulous set of stitching stamps from Lili of the Valley and some green tone tartan/plaid paper courtesy of a magazine giveaway, but I believe it's a Nitwits paper. I used the tartan to hat tip that this is actually Dr Digi's Nessie, not some random dinosaur!
