Sweet Stampin' ~ It's Our Birthday!!!

Hey there my lovely blog pals. I have been gone so long I've almost forgotten how to write up a blog post! LOL. I'm sneaking in today, because it's Sweet Stampin's 7th Birthday!! Woop woop!! Can you believe that we've been going 7 years?! I have had the privilege to be on the design team since November 2014 and I've loved every minute of it! We have such a great team here and I didn't want to miss the celebrations!

I've been missing these girlies whilst I've been off playing Mary Poppins to one of my bestie's bubs. I am so looking forward to getting properly back into my craft room! But in the meantime, here's a wee make I made earlier this year, for my daughter's teachers birthday. The kids threw her a surprise party, organising food from home and Georgie gave me a couple of hours to pull this together! All very last minute and exciting and apparently her teacher was utterly chuffed with her lovely surprise. So here's the card I made for her.

I kept it very simple as it was very short notice, so just threw a little masking tape on a page, brushed on some distress ink in various hues (Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves and Tattered Rose) I splashed it with water and that was that - background done. I used a gorgeous stamp from Unity Stamps because Georgie happened to mention her teacher was dotty for Elephants, so this fit the bill perfectly! All I needed was a 'Surprise' element. I think the sentiment fit the bill perfectly! I can't put my hands on the stamp set I used for the two sentiments inside and out, so will have to update later. Below is a wee peek at the panel I used inside the card. Made the same way as the front, but with wonky masking tape sides! Unintentional, but I quite liked the effect.

Our awesome sponsor for this challenge is the wonderful Crafts & Me. I love their stamps and had I had the time, I so would have coloured up one of their gorgeous images, so go check them out if you've not discovered them before. Be sure you come join in for the chance to win their gorgeous prize!

Well, I've almost completely missed getting this posted in time for our birthday week, I've been caught up all week with gorgeous little people who need undivided love and attention, so this is my 'better late than never' post and I'll get it live now before I've completely missed the boat!

It's my last week as Mary Poppins, so I'll be back early December with my regular DT posts. Thanks to all my amazing DT's who've been incredibly supportive and understanding during my absence. I can't wait to have time just to play in my craft room again. I'm having such withdrawals!! LOL.

If you haven't joined in with my Christmas 'AWOL' candy. Be sure to check out the previous post and join in, there's some sweet goodies to be won. Love and hugs to you all, Wends xoxo

Hi sweetie loving this gorgeous card, love the CAS style & the inked background is just awesome... If I tried that it would be a big blobby mess but yours really is fantastic!! I love it.
Hope all is going ok sweets, take care.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
What a fabulous 'sort notice' card Wends, and taylored perfectly to the recipient. Looking forward to seeing more of your work when you are back in your craft room.
I will be getting limited time both crafting and online over the next while as DH has been diagnosed with a terminal cancer, so he uill be my first priority.
Blessings
