Fab 'n' Funky ~ Mandalas & Patterns

Hey there lovelies. It's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky and we have a fun theme for you this week. We'd love to see your creations with Mandala's and Patterns on them. I love Mandala's they're so fun to colour. Our sponsor DigiStamps 4 Joy provided us with some very cool images to work with. I went for sunny colours on my mandala, but check out the awesome interpretations by the rest of my talented teamies. There's some really cool takes on the theme! I used Mandala 4 for my card.

My sweet girlie had a few tough weeks recently, which totally breaks my heart, kids can be so cruel at school, but she navigated her way through a tough time with such bravery and independance, so I created this bright card to remind her of her awesome she is, even when the going is tough. She turned 13 yesterday and had an amazing day. I hope things will just get better from here for her at high school.

I think this sentiment is oh so perfect to remind her that life can throw you curveballs, but how you navigate this days is what really builds your character. I have to say, she showed strength and resilience under really awful circumstances. We couldn't be prouder of her.

I took me quite a while to colour up this Mandala, but it was a lovely soothing process. I chose lots of oranges and yellows from my copic colours and coloured without any real plan, just intuitively as I went. Very relaxing and fun process. I cut down a doily that was slightly too large for this card and then took my black Promarker and turned it from a white to a black doily. This is such a quick and clever way to personalise your embellies. I think it's a nice stark detail on this card. I also inked the white cardstock to create the edge around the sentiment.

Head on over to the challenge and check out those awesome creations by my teamies, you're sure to leave inspired! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure. Until then, have an awesome week and happy crafting! Hugs, Wends xoxo

Love these beautiful sunny colours Wends, and what a lovely sentiment.
Hope matters improve for your girl at school...growing up can be so tough sometimes. It sounds as if Georgie is coping well though, you've brought her up to be independent which is so important, as much as we'd love to it's impossible to protect our children all of the time! Glad she had a wonderful birthday!
