Fab 'n' Funky ~ Just For Fun ~ Bingo

Hello lovely crafty pals. I'm here tonight with a DT creation for our latest challenge at Fab 'n' Funky. We are having another 2 week challenge as the girlies from the UK are still enjoying what remains of their Summer holibobs. Our lovely hostess for this challenge is Buffy and she's chosen a fun 'Bingo Board' theme. This challenge is 'Just For Fun', but we'll still have a Top 3!

I've gone for the Bingo Board line Diecuts/Ribbons/Red. Now you might say, I don't see any ribbon! But if you look closely, you'll note some feathery fibres around the image. That's because I have used a glitter thread ribbon around the image. Don't ask me to explain what possessed me to do this, I have no clue, it was just a whim. But actually, I LOVE how it turned out! Whispy feathery threads around the image, just added a bit of fun and texture to this creation. I also hand-stitched around the card for another bit of added interest.

I've used a very gorgeous Joanna Sheen Pillar Box die on this card, which I just HAD to have after seeing my crafty pal Marianne use it on a couple of her creations. Having lived in London, it's one of those special iconic things, that will always remind me of that place and time in our lives. So I just HAD to have this sweet die. I'm so pleased I bought it and I felt even though the post box in the picture was rather of a US origin, the Pillar Box worked very sweetly on this card. Even better still, was the fact that it was destined to be given to my Scottish neighbour here in New Zealand, who knew all too well the British reference. The lovely window-frame die, is a Magnolia Doohickey.

This adorable image is of course from A Day For Daisies and is called Holiday Mail. There's no mistaking Tammy's enchanting style. I love the wistfulness of her images. So so beautiful! I actually coloured this sweet image a while back. It takes me a while to make up my coloured images into cards at times. I can colour a stack of them and yet not be inspired to create a card until the right occasion comes along. So this image was coloured with my Promarkers, a moon or so ago. Here is the Bingo Board, which you can work from to join us for this 'Just For Fun' challenge.

We'd love to see what you're inspired to do. I hope you'll come and play along. If you need some more inspiration, you can check out what my awesomely talented teamies got up to for this challenge over on the Fab 'n' Funky Challenge Blog.

I'll be back again in a few hours with my Whimsy Wednesday post, so be sure to stop back in for that. I have another New Release creation to share with you and it's a cutie! Have an awesome day. Hugs, Wends xoxo

This is a beautiful design Wends, the distressed style with the hand stitching and pretty paper really suit the sweet image, the fibres look great and add to the 'shabby' look. Beautiful colouring too! I also tend to colour images and not use them on cards for a while...sometimes a very long while!
