Sweet Stampin' ~ Use Something Not Normally Used For Crafting

Hey crafty pals, I've a quick but cute share for you today. We're having a fun challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and our theme this challenge is 'Use Something Not Normally Used For Crafting'. Boy did I have to wrack my brain for this one! Then I remembered an 'off the wall' little card that my little boy Zac and I had made together for his Pokemon loving pal. We created this card with a wall sticker, that his pal could then add to his wall afterwards. This is one of those rather large Kids Room Wall Stickers that can be peeled off the wall again without creating any damage. So we thought it would be fun to create a card with this.

This was a cute collaborative effort with my wee boy. We created the watercolour background together, then coloured up this cute snail to add to this garden scene. Zac decided it needed a wee insect of some sort, so we found this little dragonfly die and used glitter glue over coloured paper to make him super sparkly. The little clouds were a cute finish to the skyline and we decided to add a stamped greeting there. It's not often that I can get my little guy to craft with me, he's more of a gamer, so you can bet this mama remembered this sweet session!

We decided we were on a bit of a roll with this creative adventure, so decided to decorate his parcel with a cool 'bracelet' design that Zac chose the wording for and he strung up the beads to read 'Ahren Is Awesome'. Then loosely stuck another Pokemon sticker on the parcel to finish. You may recall me talking about Zac's Pokemon party a while back, we went all out with the Pokemon theme, so this was fun to do for his friend too as we had a few leftover stickers!

A close up shot so you can actually read the words. Zac enjoyed stringing this together and put the wee Pokemon on to finish. A real collaborative effort with my lil' guy. Hard to believe he'll be 11 this next birthday, how time flies! Now to think up a cool theme for this one!

I hope you'll come and play along with us this challenge. We're excited to see what others think to use for this theme. I had another creation I was midway through creating which used an old sellotape roll, but didn't quite get done in time, so might stash that away now for another day. I love what the rest of the DT did with their designs and they came up with some really cool ideas, so be sure to stop over and check out their gorgeous creations. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, until then, I wish you a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Wends xoxo

What a genius idea Wends and longlasting too!! I remember when my boys were into Pokemon. I am often reminded that I gave away one of Connor's "limited edition" cards among a bundle that I gave to some little boys whose Mum kept her horse here. What a bad Mother I am!! xx
