Pinkfresh Studio ~ Sympathy Card

Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in today with a lovely slimline card I made as a Sympathy Card when my brother in law's dad passed away. I made this for his mama and she clearly appreciated it, as she sent me the most beautiful thank you card afterwards.

I used a lovely stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio to colour the flowers, which without a stamped outline gives such a soft and lovely look. I really love how this turned out and the way the colours played together so nicely.

I decided once I'd finished the stencilling of the image, that the background looked a little too stark with the plain white surround, so I grabbed another stencil and added some soft colour around the stencilled blooms, just randomly and heavier in some areas and softer in others for a bit of added interest.

I matted the card onto a pretty shimmer cardstock from my stash which toned so nicely with the colouring. I finished this card with a very simple sentiment stamped in VersaFine Nocturne Ink straight onto the inked panel. This sentiment comes from a very beautiful Whimsy Stamps set called Sympathy So Deeply Sorry. It's often my 'go to' sentiment for Sympathy cards. I find it says something a little more than, with Sympathy and I love that.

Well that's all from me today folks, I'm going to be sharing this card in a Simon Says Stamp challenge that called for using more than one stencil and this is a good fit for that! So I'm off to enter it. I do still love to play along with challenge themes, I think it helps my creativity and with this theme, I had the perfect card ready to go, love that! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, until then, have a wonderful and very creative week. Hugs, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
