Fab 'n' Funky ~ Cute Christmas
Hey there lovely crafty friends. I should be sharing my last Fab 'n' Funky post with you for the year tonight, but I've been tied up with family today and with my daughter's school prizegiving. She's just finished Year 9 and I'm so proud of all she's achieved this year. She got two awards in the prizegiving, so it was a very proud mama moment watching her walk across the stage.
I must confess with Christmas so near and two kiddies finishing up their school year, I've been rather caught up in it all and haven't quite pulled together my project for tonight completely. I do want to share how far I've got though and will update with my finished card once it's completed. This image is so sweet from our sponsor Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I am looking forward to finishing this creation. But in the meantime, I'm sharing with you just my colouring above and I'll be back soon with the completed project. With Christmas drawing near, this is actually a 3 week challenge, so if you're as busy as I've been lately, there's plenty of time to get your entries in.
Do head over to the Fab 'n' Funky Challenge and see what my rather more organised teamies got up to for their creations. They've made some really lovely pieces with the fabulous sponsor images we were given to work with. I'll be back with the finished project as soon as I can. Until then, check out my next post which was prepared in advance of all this school end business and I wish you all happy December days in the lead up to Christmas. Hugs, Wends xoxo
Update:
I'm back with the promised finished card. The lighting was much better when taking this shot of the card, than of the original image. The indoor lighting alters the colours, so this is a much better representation of the true colours.
I spent a lovely day with my sister and her bub yesterday and we snuck in a photoshoot of a couple of my cards. I'm learning so much from her! I'm very lucky to have a professional photographer for a sister! I love what she did with this layout. She has the loveliest props at her house, which as of last weekend, included this lush real pine Christmas tree! The little white heart decorations we made together with white baking soda clay on a previous visit. It's such an easy recipe and so much fun to craft with! They made the loveliest props for the this photoshoot.
I took this shot in the full sun so you could see the shine on the star. I used Wink of Stella to add the sparkly details. The sentiment I've used is a Kaisercraft clear sentiment from a set called 'Jolly'. The lovely music sheet paper is from a Simply Cards & Papercraft cover gift from a long while ago. It's a Kaisercraft paper, simply identified as 6" Christmas Paper Pad. I tried to hunt down the issue, but had no luck, so if anyone knows, please let me know so I can add those details. Thanks.
Thanks so much for stopping back to take a second look at this creation. I'm sorry it wasn't quite ready for the original post. I'm still Christmas crafting like crazy and wonder how you're all doing with yours? I'll be back again very soon with another crafty adventure. Stop by my Instagram account '@craftykiwimama' on Friday 4pm EST as I'll be part of a rather fun and fabulous Instagram Hop to celebrate Whimsy Stamps 10th Birthday! So join me if you can. Sending hugs and wishing you a fabulous weekend in the meantime, Wends xoxo
