Whimsy Stamps ~ Little Super Star

Hey lovely crafty pals. I'm back with my final Whimsy post for the month of September. I can't quite believe how fast that rushed by, but I have to say, I'm SO excited about the month of October and can't wait to share the Whimsy fun we have in store with you! But first, let me share this adorable wee cutie. She is called Starla and she looks to me to be ready to be a real little hero, either that or she's donned a fabulous Trick or Treating costume! Either way, this image is super cute and so fun to colour up. She is of course from our Pollycraft Range at Whimsy Stamps, which is full of completely adorable images such as this one.

I've tried adjusting the colours on this so that the white doesn't look grey, but sadly it's a trick of the camera and light balance, which went a little awry with the yellow spotlight rays. I was trying something new, which I thought would look quite fun, but it hasn't translated well on film. Looks fine in reality. I promise the paper is white! 

 I've used a fun multicoloured starry paper from ... to create the backdrop for this cutie and kept the rest of the design very simple. Just using the sentiment from another Whimsy Stamps clear set, which worked a treat for this design. I just coloured up the letters to match which I think is a fun little detail. I used my Whimsy Stamps fishtail banner die to cut the sentiment out and popped it up on foam.

She's got lots of sparkles too, her starry headband, the star on her shirt and her boots all have a touch of Wink of Stella on them, so in good light, she looks really cute and shiny!
