Whimsy Stamps Trick or Treat Boxes
Hey crafty pals, well the day has arrived here in New Zealand! It's All Hallows Eve! The kiddos have their fun planned out for the day and mama will be chauffeur for both! But of course, we are filling our Halloween candy bowl here too for our own lil' trick or treaters! I showed you the candy wraps I've made and we have some other treats that we've prepared to celebrate the night, which include these two little cute treat boxes! I really love this hexagon treat box from Whimsy Stamps, it's a little bit different from the more common cube treat boxes out there and it just so happens, that we have the perfect dies to work with this candy box shape too!
The box was created using the Whimsy Stamps Hexagon Treat Box Die. This is such a simple and fabulous little treat box, cut and scored all in one pass through a standard diecutting machine. Fits my Big Shot perfectly. So easy to assemble and makes very cute treat boxes. I decided to make some little Halloween treat boxes with it this year.
The gorgeous and fun paper I've used is from Whimsy Stamps Halloween Paper Pack called Hocus Pocus. This has the cutest collection of Halloween papers in it. I particularly like this 'too cute to spook' ghost paper. It was perfect to cover the tops of my treat boxes and using one of the hexagon dies from the Nested Hexagons Die Set, I created two super cute Halloween Treat Box toppers. It's a lovely finish, because the hexagon die has a stitched edge finish, so it looks lovely.
A quick easy and very striking treat box, with very little effort. I didn't add anything extra, as I wanted the gorgeous paper to take centre stage, so quick and easy! Now to dress up the inside with either a trick or a treat. Will it contain sweets or spiders? Jury is out!
I hope you've enjoyed my Halloween line up this year! It's been super fun creating for it. I've actually got one last one I'd like to share, but this is dependent on colouring time in this already super busy day, so I may or may not get that shared before Halloween is over! We've had an amazing month at Whimsy with lots of Halloween fun, so be sure to check that out via the banner below. It's not too late to join in with your own Halloween creations!
I hope whatever you're doing tonight, you have a fun and fabulous evening. I'll be back if I can, with one last Halloween (or two, depending how much I get done today, hehe.) Hugs and happy crafting xoxo
