Whimsy Stamps ~ Bunny In My Pocket
Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I'm back today with a card I created a few weeks back that I've been looking forward to sharing! I've been wanting to use a cool die set from Whimsy I got recently and thought this was a gorgeous image to pair it with. How sweet are these bunnies?! Please forgive my very loose watercolouring. I had great fun doing it, but it's clear I've still a lot to learn. I do love the soft finish of watercolouring, so I'll keep trying.
I've used a fabulous slimline embossing folder to create the texture for this design. I ran some clear embossing ink over the raised dry embossing, just to make it stand out from the background better. It's a subtle effect, but does make the dry embossing really pop. The die set comes with the cutest buttons which can be die cut to match your projects. I wrapped the embossed panel with baker's twine and added a little heart shaped button to finish. I really like this simple but sweet finish on this card.
The off white card base I used has a lovely sheen to it, which you can't see very well in the photos, but is such a nice base for this creation. These little touches can make such a difference to the finished look.
I will be back before long with another crafty adventure. Thanks for popping by to visit my wee corner of the blogisphere. Love it when you do! Please let me know you've been so I can come and say hi to you too.
