Whimsy Stamps ~ Happy Anniversary Baby

Hey crafty friends, today is my 29th Wedding Anniversary and I made hubby a cute card with a super sweet couple drawn by the talented Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. I paired it with a fabulous paper from the Slimline Enchanted Forest Paper Pack. I really love how this combination came together. 

The lovely rock face on the paper provided a perfect backdrop for the sentiment, which I added in gold embossing powder. The sentiment is perfect for me and my hubby, we really are 'best buds', 29 years in and he's still my favourite person to spend time with. We've had our ups and downs in those 29 years, but we have weathered the storms and come through stronger.  

I adore Crissy Armstrong's images, her people and her cute Tomte gnomes I have a real soft spot for. It was lovely to use this sweet pair for hubby's Anniversary card and happily he really loved it. I coloured the image with Copic Markers and did my best to match the colour of the water and was so happy with how that gelled. I popped the image up on foam and added it to the paper so that their hats matched the V reflection of the setting sun in the water.

It's been a whirlwind few days and weeks for me, from the lead up to Christmas which I planned 2 big events to celebrate my Mummy's 80th Birthday, had my baby sister and her family visiting from San Diego, so I wanted to fit in as much fun with them as possible while they were here. We saw them off at the airport yesterday and last night was my lovely niece's 21st birthday, so we had a late night partying with her. Today, hubby and I were too exhausted to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, so it was a much needed quiet night in. Perfect!

I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, the new year line up of stamps and dies at Whimsy is already filling up my wishlist! They really have such fun and innovative ideas, I feel so blessed to be a Whimsy Girl. Wishing you happy days and lots of crafty fun. Hugs xoxo
