Sweet Stampin' ~ It's Our Birthday

Hey crafty friends, I'm sharing my card for Sweet Stampins' 15th Birthday! We are so happy to have been going that long and hope to carry on for some time still! We'd love you to come and celebrate this with us and share your birthday themed creations too.

I'm sharing a card I made for one of my sisters, to celebrate her last birthday. I used a combination of fun elements. The lovely stamped elements are from a gorgeous Pinkfresh stamp set called Beyond Measure. I made this a little while back and didn't make a note of the inks I used, but I do know I used a stencil from Pinkfresh to apply the colour. I'll have to come back and update once I recall the inks I used. It was likely some ink Distress Inks.

The beautiful deeply embossed background was made using a Sizzix 3D embossing folder called Confetti Hearts, which was part of a gift basket I won from a US crafty friend Nikki some years back, which you can watch the unboxing for here. It's amazing, the impression is so deep and textured. I love the anyway up design too, which made it possible to emboss the front of this top folding card base, rather than have to add a panel on top. I shared another card previously with this here.

Found my ink reference pic. Thank goodness, I'd snapped this, would never have remembered! Distress Inks in Saltwater Taffy and Tattered Rose for the blooms, Fossilized Amber for the flower centres with a little sparkle pen on top and a mix of Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness for the greenery. Distress Oxide inks are lovely for layering stencil blending.

I paired this card with a beautiful envelope from Gina K Designs that toned so well with the ink work. I am pretty sure this colour is Innocent Pink. I love Gina's envelopes, they are a lovely weight and such an elegant finish to a card and this could not have been a better match!

I really like the Pinkfresh Foiled Sentiment Sets. I don't have a hot hoiling system, they're very expensive here in New Zealand, so it's on the wishlist as a lofty far off want. So being able to use foiled sentiments like those in this set is a great work around for me. I added some metallic thread looped in a little nest behind the sentiment before adhering it with foam to the card. I was so happy with how all these elements came together. Such a pretty card for my sis and I know she loved it, which was fab.

Thank you friends for popping in today. I hope you like this Birthday themed card I created and would love to see your Birthday makes in our challenge too. 15 years is pretty special to have kept this challenge going and we're proud of that. Hugs and happy crafting! Wends xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
