Lili of the Valley ~ Ratty lil' Christmas Tags

Hehe, that's a bit of a misleading title, these tags are not so much ratty as they are featuring rats or mice, I'm not sure which actually, but I have a family member who loves rats, so we're calling them rats! I made these cute tags to accompany their Christmas parcels and they were such a hit, they ended up on the tree as decorations after present opening, with a promise I'd keep them to hang again next year, so that was especially lovely!

I had a really cute Washi Tape in my stash, I had wanted to use again and so I went for a slightly more muted hat colour to the traditional postbox red for Christmas. I coloured these cuties with Copic Markers and opted for different but similar hues across the two makes. You may recall me talking about a new Copic Marker in my collection recently and I did use that colour combo on the hats. E09, E08 and E07. It think they coloured up so cute and worked a treat with the more rusty tones in the Washi Tape.

These were quick tags, so I didn't spend long on the actual base design, I just added the Washi Tape in two different ways for some detailing. I fussy cut the critters and added them to the tags. These cuties are actually from a larger stamp that had several little ratties lined up together, so I cut these away from the main image to get these smaller groupings. I adore the excited vibes from the first lil' rat. I imagine he's super excited to open his pressies and thought it was a cute image for a pressie tag.

Here they are hanging on the tree after pressie opening. The colours are actually better in these shots than I got in the originals, so thought it was worth including them. The cute banner die is an older one from Whimsy Stamps which is on sale right now, a real steal at only $5.99, so if you need a banner die, go check out that fab deal. I've used this set loads! See a couple of my previous posts with this set here and here for ideas.

The rats looked quite at home next to the hedgie and robin! Well that's it for today's crafty adventure. I will be back again soon with another one. I can tell this is going to be a very crafty year and I'm up for it! Looking forward to visiting my blogging friends a little more this year. Last year was very full, so I'm hoping I get the balance right this year.

I encourage you to check out the sweet creations my Lili of the Valley team mates have made with this sweet January Release. You can see their designs shared in the We Love Lili of the Valley Facebook Group. If you're not signed up there and love LOTV images, do consider joining. It's a lovely group of crafters who enjoy sharing their Lili of the Valley themed creations. I will be back soon with another crafty adventure. In the meantime I wish you a fabulous and creative week. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own. If you use my Whimsy Stamps links and it's your first time shopping with my links, you'll be offered a 10% discount, which is a cool treat. So my links cost you nothing, but may also save you a few pennies. This is a 'one time' benefit, great if planning a bigger purchase.)
