Fab 'n' Funky ~ Halloween

Woohoo, the day is finally here! There are definitely some 'highlight' days in the year for my kiddos, they love Christmas, Easter, their birthdays and yep, Halloween! They're just such fun days and in the lead up to them there's so much chatter and excitement about them, especially from my wee man. He's only 8 bless, so everything is still such a 'wonder' for him. The pure joy as we put out Santa's cookies and Rudolph's carrot or dressing up for Halloween! I just love those moments with my kiddos, making memories. So while this might be posting tonight on All Hallow's Eve, we will definitely be out Trick or Treating and then back to ours with pals for Spider Pizza! Hehe. But you came for the crafty wee stylings, so in a bid not to disappoint, here is my last Halloween creation for this year.

I have a soft spot for this wee witchy. I have a soft spot in fact for lots of Elisabeth Bell's images. There's just something enchanting and wistful about them! So I have wanted to colour up this cutie for quite some time. I was sooo delighted when Little Witch with Broom appeared in Elisabeth Bell's Digital Store and this year, I finally got to colour her up for Halloween!

I used a gorgeous set of papers from a Fancy Pants Designs digital set that I bought through Snap Click Supply. If you haven't discovered these guys yet, I encourage you to do so! They have some fabulous brands of paper both physical and digital from big brand names like Fancy Pants Designs, Echo Park, BoBunny, Carta Bella, Basic Grey, just to name a few! Every Wednesday they do a US$1 per digital paper pack promo! It's brilliant and I've bought so many wonderful digital paper sets this way! The lovely set I used for this creation is called Oct 31 and here's a pic of the lush papers below.

I added some fun detail to this creation. The first was the lil' spider hanging from the web in the top right corner. As you pick the card up he moves! I used two tiny spiders which were from a sequin set that I used on this creation previously. I separated out the pieces that didn't fit that make to use for a later creation. You might recall I said I did this in that post. So here are the spiders that I took out of that mix. I added the string to the web and then stuck the loose end between two of the spider sequins, so that it didn't matter which way they spun, it would look good on both sides. These sequins are from Little Things From Lucy's Cards and she has some really fabulous sequin sets.

The other lil' feature was the sentiment rosette. Would you believe this is totally paper?! Yep and it's not layered either! This fabulous design is from a Pixel Scrapper designer called Sheila Reid. I think this is so clever and the colour combo was perfect with this paper set. Kismet!

So there you have my final Halloween creation. I hope you'll come and have some fun with us this week showing off your Halloween creations. I've had such fun this year creating Halloween decor and cards. I can't wait to pull them out again next year!

Head over to the Fab 'n' Funky blog to check out what Halloween fun my teamies have got up to and please do join us with your own Halloween creations this week. We'd love to see what you got up to! I'll be back again tomorrow with another crafty adventure so be sure to pop back soon. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Aw she is so sweet Wends - i love Elizabeth Bell - I subscribed to the Whiff of Joy Elizabeth Bell stamp club years ago and have sheets of EB stamps (many uninked I'm ashamed to say!) - I used to love when the new release came in the post. Those digi papers are just fab with it too - a fab card all round! Hope you enjoy your trick or treat night, my grandchildren came round after school to collect their treat bags- they were totally hyper- think there'll be tears before bed time lol hugs Judith xx
