Sweet Stampin' ~ Sparkle & Glitz ~ Farewell Abi

Hey there lovely crafty pals. I have happy and sad news to share with you tonight. The happy news, is that we have three new teamies joining the Sweet Stampin' crew and the first post from one of these lovely ladies is on the blog tonight for our new challenge. So I hope you'll swing by and welcome Fiona to the Sweet Stampin' team. 

The sad news, is that our lovely Abi is stepping down from the team. She has been here since September 2010 and took over the running of Sweet Stampin' with Fiona Robertson in April 2011. Abi has been the Blog Owner, Administrator, Best Crafty Boss Ever and all round Sweet Stampin' hero since that date. So we've decided to have a virtual party to celebrate our lovely Abi and all her contributions and commitment over the years and you're all invited. 

My 'tribute' party piece to farewell our lovely Abi, features a fabulous image from Faery Ink. She's an older stamp called Annie Afro ~ Glamorous Diva. How fitting is that name?! I've coloured her with my Promarkers and added some extra stripes to a background paper that I thought looked pretty fab with that disco ball. I was trying to go for retro psychedelic colours, but wish I'd used red instead of peach now! 

I thought a bit of disco ball sparkle was the perfect way to send off our Abi! She will be so missed and is leaving a rather large pair of shoes to fill, which is why Susan and I will be sharing Abi's job! But we've always been a great team and it's with the support of the whole team and our followers that Sweet Stampin' is the success that it is, so I hope we'll make our Abi proud by keeping this challenge blog going strong and this week, I hope we'll fill up the challenge with a record number of entries!

If you've had the pleasure of knowing Abi in her crafting journey, do stop into her blog and leave her some farewell love, it really is the end of an era and as this is our 'Birthday Week', it's a rather poignant date for Abi to step down. The challenge started on November 21st 2009, so we celebrate that we are still going strong 9 years later and hope to remain going for a long while yet!
