Whimsy Wednesday ~ Nuts For You

Hey there lovely crafty pals. I'm back today with my final card from my Snowman Trio for Whimsy Stamps that you'll have seen on my blog header. Gosh I loved working with these cuties. This adorable image is called Snowman & Squirrels. I just love this sweet image and I've had such fun colouring up the set of three from our December Digital New Release. I find them utterly enchanting and so did my brother apparently when he decided to snap them up for 'his' Christmas card list! LOL. Love that, he's one of my greatest fans.

It's a shame that I can't quite capture all the colour detail in the photos. There's a very soft blue-green colour wash behind the snowman and squirrels, but it just doesn't show well in the pics. I coloured up this cutie and his furry friends with my Copic Markers. So handy for US peeps having these available at Whimsy Stamps now. I used some hessian themed paper for my accents. The poinsettia was cut with a lovely Whimsy Stamps Poinsettia die. I used hessian ribbon and tied twine around it to finish the card. The lovely plaid paper is from a Carta Bella set called Cabin Fever. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. It's from Crissy Armstrong's recent Christmas sentiment set. I thought that was such a cute match for the fuzzy critters on the card! I've glued my layers together with Olba glue. I love this glue when working on uneven or rough textures, it never lets me down, the hold is fabulous.
