Southern Girls ~ Oh Happy Day

Hey crafty pals, it's time for a Team Lou challenge over on the Southern Girls Challenge Blog and we are keeping our themes 'Anything Goes' this year to appeal to all. As always, we have fabulous sponsors and this challenge we have two sponsors, Auzz Trinklets & Crafts and JMC Designs.

Auzz Trinklets is an Australian Craft store with a wide variety of brands and craft supplies available. I've worked with a lovely Mama Elephant stamp set to create this card. I used the images and also the sentiment from the same set. This is now longer in store, but there's a very similar set, which you can find here. The full Mama Elephant range you can find here. 

I used a Whimsy Stamps slimline die to create the diecut base design of the card. I had some lovely paper on my craft desk that I'd been using to create another project, which I thought would work well with it's lovely spotty design. I used a lovely green glitter card to create the base of the card and then layered up a nice sunset orange sky adding the slimline diecut on top. I used a fabulous double sided adhesive foam to 'pop up' the design from the glitter card base. This is new to me and new to Whimsy Stamps and I'm loving it, the dimension is great!

I then added the sweet elements from the Mama Elephant set which were stamped in Memento Black Ink and coloured with Copic Markers. I added lashings of Wink of Stella to the balloons, her wee bow and the clouds for a 'silver lining'. I just love those sweet bluebirds from this set. They were diecut with the matching shaped dies for this set.
