Whimsy Stamps ~ Bee-u-tiful
Hey crafty friends, I have a fun creation to share with you today, that inspired my play on words title. We have a really lovely background rubber stamp called Big Bumble Background in the Whimsy Rubber Stamps collection at present, which is full of beautiful imagery. I have opted to stamp it in white embossing powder over a lovely iridescent cardstock called Purple Rain from Tonic Studios. The shimmer in the right light is really beautiful.
I went for a simple finish with this card, as I wanted to cover the design as little as possible. So a vellum wrap which I added a sentiment from the Cheeky Sentiments Clear Stamp Set was perfect. I used Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide to stamp the sentiment, then heat embossed it with super fine clear embossing powder. I finished the design with some simple Lily White Heart Droplets from Little Things from Lucy's Cards.
I mounted the stamped panel on foam for a bit of dimension and added it to a lovely dark burgundy cardstock from my stash which toned well with the iridescent cardstock. You can see the iridescent effect in the cardstock in each of these different photos. It's so pretty as you move it and shift it in the light.
