Whimsy Stamps ~ Bohemian Thinking of You Cards

Hey crafty friends, I'm sharing two cards I made with a fabulous Bohemian Rainbow Die Set from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted to make some 'Thinking of You' themed cards and knew a perfect sentiment set that would work with this rainbow. So I set about creating the bases with a bit of ink splatter for interest.

I made the first card with a softer pale pink palette to pick up on the largest arc of the rainbow being in that shade. I used pink toned Mica Sprays to create the splattered background. The second one I picked up on the warm brown tones and used a Mica Spray with a Walnut Stain undertone. I chose not to use exclusively diecut elements to create the rainbows, but to mix it up by adding a stamped arc for a couple of the arcs. I used a FaDoodle Stamp Set to create these, forming them on an acrylic block to fit between two of the diecut arcs. I wanted them to be subtle, so chose soft tones, so the diecuts were the feature, but they add a bit of whimsy and fun.

I chose ink splatters that worked with the largest arc of the rainbow I'd used and plan to do another one soon too, using another similar colourway, but with a different colour for the main arc and will tone the splatter to match. The beautiful sentiment, which reads, 'Thinking of You... Sometimes it's hard to see the Rainbow, when there's been endless days of rain'. I just thought this was a lovely sentiment for someone going through tough times. A favourite of mine from this beautiful Whimsy set. I clear heat embossed the sentiments which were stamped in Distress Oxide Inks. I mounted the panels onto Kraft Card Bases to finsh.

Thanks so much for popping in today. I'll have one more card to share with you before the month is out, so I'll be back soon with that. I'm still working on all my homework from the Online Card Classes Stencils 2 course, which really has been fun and I've learnt lots! So I look forward to sharing some of those soon too. Hugs, Wends xoxo
