Whimsy Stamps ~ "Franked" Tickets

Hey crafty friends, Whimsy Stamps have a brand new release that has gone live this week and I'm super excited to have a few elements from this latest release and the prior release to play with! I could not wait to get my hands on these amazing ticket sets and all the accessory sets that go with them. I can see so many possibilities for this fantastic tickets set! Or should I say Terrific Tickets sets! I'm excited to share what I've created with you!

I started with an idea to have this character surviving a rough week, because I'm sure we've all been there one time or another and I find myself there a lot lately with many balls to juggle. The stamp set which is brand new this last release has the most charming Frankenstein character I've ever seen as part of it and had some really funny sentiments that played into and informed my idea so well!

Not to sound like I'm complaining, my days are filled with things that I choose and love to do very much, but some weeks can still feel a little overwhelming. Throw the changes of life into the mix and there's definitely a recipe for rough weeks at times! But I am grateful always for these days having lost beloved family young. I take the privilege of no day for granted!

I've used the stitched ticket set for the base of this design and ink blended the bold Frank's either side of the central character, I kept their colours quite muted, opting for green not black hair, as I wanted the focus to very definitely be on the central character, so chose muted tones for their colouring. This was achieved quickly and easily with the fantastic layering stencil set that was released along side the die sets.

I coloured up the central Frank character with Copic Markers. He's from the new Abby Normal Stamp Set, I'm sure there are some fun hat tips to the Young Frankenstein movie in this set, it's so funny! This has such a fun collection of elements and I absolutely LOVE it! I have ideas bubbling out that need to be created! So watch this space for more fun ticket themed sets!

We have a wonderful sponsor during September and October at Whimsy Stamps. The lovely folks from Cardstock Warehouse have provided our Halloweeners team with some absolutely gorgeous, heavy-weight, fabulous quality papers to use during our Halloween term and I've used two of these papers in my creation today. The black Onyx pearlescent cardstock has a lovely shimmer to it which I used to matt the ticket panel and then I layered this over a cardbase made from the Mid-Green cardstock from the pack. So perfect for this make and is such a lovely heavy weight, it stands up to being used as the card base really well! I've paired my design with one of their gorgeous black Onyx Stardream Euro Flap pearlescent envelopes too.

The best news about this gorgeous paper pack that we've been working with, is that we also have a fantastic prize that will be won by a random entrant in our last event of October, so watch that space for a chance to win! There will be more than one prize up for grabs, so definitely worth coming to join the fun in our Facebook Group where all the information will be shared ahead of the event.

I will be back again soon with another Halloween themed adventure. I know it's a lot this time of year, but I just have such fun creating for the Halloween season, so thank you for bearing with me if it's not your thing. Normal programming will resume in November, I promise! Have a fabulous and creative week. Hugs, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, although my affiliate links are not currently working due to changes in the affiliate platforms. So these links are purely to help you find elements you may also enjoy crafting with. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
