Sweet Stampin' ~ How Beautiful You Are

Hey crafty friends, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this time we'd love to see your creations which do not use any designer paper. You can decorate with inks, use Washi Tape, go CAS, just don't feature any designer paper. I love the striking simplicity of this card. I made it for one of my older nieces for her birthday. She's so grown up now and I really loved the elegance of this stamp from Unity Stamps now she's older. It's called Love That Face. It's no longer being sold, so I'm glad I grabbed it when I did, such an iconic timelessly elegant image.

I have opted for quite a CAS design. I loved the image just as it stamped and didn't feel I needed to add colour, so added the colour to the design through the embellishments. I used some red and gold striped Washi Tape to add some detail to the sides of the image panel and finished with a little red bloom. It's actually a poinsettia, which is appropriate, because my nieces birthday is in December.

I mounted the image panel onto foam and then onto the kraft card base which I then added the Washi Tape strips down the side of. A very CAS design for me, but I absolutely love how it turned out and happily so did my lovely niece.

I hope you'll come and join our current challenge at Sweet Stampin', we'd love to see your interpretation of our 'No Background Paper' theme, we'd love to see what you're inspired to do. My teamies have some awesome creations, so do pop by the blog to check those out too, you can click through on the banner above. I'll be back soon with another crafty creation, I'm back in my craft zone again and catching up some projects half done! Hugs, Wends xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, and so appreciate if you use these when shopping. They cost you no extra whatsoever. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
