CZ Designs ~ Merci

Hey crafty friends, I have a card I made a while back with a very cool embossing folder from Darice if I recall correctly. I embossed some Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy cardstock and used an ink swiping technique over the embossing to bring out the embossed elements nicely. I think it looks fab and love how this very simple card turned out. I used some Lost Shadow Oxide Ink to make the texture really pop from the embossing. 

I trimmed the panel with a stitched edge die to give it a nice edge and added a CZ Design sentiment to complete the design. With the Eiffel Tower background, I thought it was highly appropriate to use the French 'merci' die. I diecut the frame from vellum and the lettering from silver cardstock with a subtle shimmer. I love the elegance of this design, simple but striking. I paired the finished card with a Soft Stone grey envelope from Gina K Design. The card base is a Simon Says Stamp Fog Grey A2 Side-Fold Scored Notecard. Simple elegance I think. I love a quick and elegant card design and this one I'll make again, because it's so lovely. 

I'll give this card to my sister who speaks fluent French and has friends abroad I'm sure she'd love to send this card to. I've not a lot else to say about this card. The embossing folder is much older stash, so I won't be able to add a thumbnail for that, but as I said, I believe it was a Darice folder. I'll add thumbnails for all I can.
