Sweet Stampin' ~ Anniversaries

Hey there lovely crafty pals. It's Saturday and you know what that means?! It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and we have a lovely one for you this week. It's actually my 25th Wedding Anniversary in a few days time, so I chose the theme 'Anniversaries' for this week. Now your card doesn't have to be for a Wedding Anniversary, it could be any Anniversary that you celebrate. 

I've coloured up this lovely image from Make It Crafty called Penny & Scott Cuddle with my Copic Markers and I chose colours that Greg and I usually wear, so it really does look like 'us'. The only thing that didn't fit in this scene was that the man had short hair! My hubby is a rocker, so has very long hair! So I extended the hair over his shoulder to look like the low ponytail that my hubby often wears. 

I kept the card really simple, because just like this couple in their cas' clothes, we're simple folks and the will be no fuss of fanfare for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, just a low key celebration between two people who love each other very much. So this simple CAS design is very much 'us'.

I added a very simple sentiment inside the card. I used a glittery silver diecut that is from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I was fortunate to win a prize pack from them in a challenge recently and I'm delighted with the dies I got. This was one of them. The stamped sentiment underneath is from Hero Arts set You Are My Happy. It says it all I think.

I must confess I did intend to add a silver '25' to my creation but I couldn't find my number die! So I'll hunt that down and add an update when I've done that. Extra Update: When I wrote this post, I couldn't lay my hands on my number dies! But I've found them now and added the 25 I wanted to, to mark our 25th Wedding Anniversary and one of my few wooden hearts left from my Live & Love Crafts stash. Almost out, will cry when it's all gone!
