Our lucky winner's are in for a real treat this challenge. My amazing teamies have created some beautiful designs for this challenge and here is my creation, a little late due to some unexpected medical dramas for my wee family, but as they say, better late than never!
I've used an adorable stamp from Stamper's Delights from their Super Hero Bundle. I think this image is just so sweet for a wee lad and there's an equally sweet girlie version in the set too! I coloured this fabulous image with my Copic Markers. I opted for green and white for his space suit because I was having flashbacks to a small boy dressed up like Buzz Lightyear! I think he looks fab coloured up like that. The awesome moonscape is from Whimsy Stamps and I thought it was kinda fun to create a 'Little Prince' like scene with the two images. I had great fun colouring up this Whimsy Stamps moonscape with my grey Copic Markers, it was actually much easier than I thought it was going to be. Not quite like the cover art, but I'm pretty happy with it!
I found a fun background paper at Pixel Scrapper created by the lovely Marisa Lerin. If you've not discovered Pixel Scrapper yet, I recommend you do, they have some wonderful designers. Marisa also created this fun sentiment, which I actually added to the paper before printing as it was a PNG, but decided afterward to print it again and pop it up on foam for a bit of dimension. It looked good the other way, but even better popped up on foam.
I added some jelly roll accents to random stars on the paper and to the crescent moon, which is sparkly and lovely in real life. A little detail that adds a lot to the overall finish I think.
Well that's it from me for today. It's been an interesting and tiring day. So I'm off to make dinner for my wee crew and I'll catch ya'll again really soon. Be sure to check out my awesome teamie's creations on the blog and come join our fun! Hugs, Wends xoxo
