Whimsy Stamps ~ Halloween Candy Bag Tags
Hey there sweet friends, it's time for me to share my very last Halloween creation with you. What a fun and whirlwind month this has been with all my Halloween crafting! This final creation is the wee tags I made to decorate the candy bags for Zac and Georgie. A very simple creation, but came up so nicely to finish these little Halloween treats for the kids.
I created these candy bag tags, by diecutting the largest pumpkin from the Build-a-Pumpkin Patch die set from a pale orange cardstock. I diecut the shape and then coloured it with Copic Markers for a bit of dimension and shading on the pumpkin.
I had some pumpkin themed candy bags in my stash, so they made a fun base to the kids treat. I tied the bags with some pumpkin ribbon I had in my stash and then added the tags to the bags with a Halloween themed multicoloured baker's twine.
I used a fun sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Halloween stamp set called Fuzzy Spiders to add the greeting to the tags. I used green Memento ink to stamp the greeting. These sweet treat bags wrap up my creations for this Halloween season. I still had more ideas though, I just ran out of time! Hehe, if only I could craft for Halloween and Christmas all year long! I don't seem to have a shortage of ideas for those two seasons.
There was no shortage of candy either for the kids treat bags in the end, I found two places that would deliver and had a lovely range of bright and colourful Halloween candy. Some even themed with Halloween special editions. Skittles did a Rotten Zombie edition, which was fun, a bit like Harry Potter's Bertie Bots Beans, where they weren't all 'nice' flavours, so it was a bit of fun seeing which one you'd get! Zac thought that was both icky and funny, so we got some laughs from that.
Thank you for sticking with me and visiting through this very 'one track mind' month! I had such fun creating all these Halloween themed cards and decorations, I hope you had fun looking at them all.
I will be back next time with our New Release for November from Whimsy Stamps and it's going to be fabulous. We're shifting gears now to focus on Christmas and New Year and all the joys that brings. I sure hope it includes letting us out of lockdown here in Auckland! Until then, Happy Halloween! Hugs xoxo
