Whimsy Stamps ~ More Halloween Treats
Hey lovely friends, I'm back with yet another Halloween Treats post. I've made two long thin boxes from a 6x6 piece of cardstock and a shorter round topped box from the same page size. Two treat box versions, one paper size and so easy to make.
The two boxes in the front above, are such a simple fold, I found the quick and easy pattern for this on Pinterest by crafter Vickie Lou. She gives a clear and simple instruction on how to create this, so do check out her site if you'd like to try this too.
The second little box was a happy accident. I couldn't tell you the dimensions for this, because I was just playing and folding and trying things out. But it wound up in this cute little round top box that I then just punched a small hole in each of the tips that ended at the top, laced a bit of twine through and pulled it like a purse-string closed, topped with a little paper button and added the vampire die to the front popped up on some foam et voilà . Three fun treat boxes out of 6x6 papers. The lovely papers are from the Whimsy Vintage Halloween Paper Pack and these three designs worked perfectly together for these wee treat boxes. I love the distressed vintage look of these papers, they're fab.
I had fun creating a different style tag for these cute slimline boxes, I wanted something that felt a bit more 'Halloween' and then I remembered the fabulous die set from Whimsy that has this cute crescent moon, which I thought was perfect for these long slimline boxes. I cut two from some orange cardstock I'd been working with for a previous creation. It's Bazzill Basic canvas texture, but I don't recall the colour, I think it may have been called 'Pumpkin'. I used this same cardstock for my recent banner make, so still had offcuts on my desk. I stamped the greeting, which is from the Halloween Postage Clear Stamps set in Versafine Onyx Black and then added a wee bat from the Elvira Moonlighting Die set on each tag. Quick and simple, but I think a lovely finish to these wee Halloween treat boxes. The little square one, I topped with just a little paper button which I cut when making another gift box with the ATC Book Die Set. So I was pretty happy with that simple finish for the little square box.
Thanks for stopping in today friends, I so appreciate your visits. I hope you've enjoyed seeing this Halloween Treat Box adventure. I'll be back with another crafty adventure soon. Until then, I wish you a wonderful week. Hugs xoxo
