Whimsy Stamps ~ Tattered Christmas Gift Tags

Hey friends, I'm back again with a little batch make of Christmas Tags. I'm doing little batches, to ensure I've enough for all the nieces and nephews parcels. I'm from such a huge family, there's quite a number to make! But I'm making good progress and I really love how this batch make came together. I did a blue batch and a red batch.

I've used a fabulous paper pack to create this blue batch of tags. I took four different plaid papers from the lovely Baby Bear Paper Pack and diecut each page with the large tag from the Slimline Tags Set. I also cut a little washer top paper protector from each plaid page to top each tag. 

From white cardstock I cut a second tag with the smaller tag in the set and stamped two tags with the wee tattered teddy from the Tattered Christmas Clear Stamp Set and two with the little Rudolph. I coloured the images with Copic Markers and then paper pieced the little details of the scarves and hearts from the paper I used for the large tags. I distressed the edges of the white tags with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Then I topped each tag with a bit of lace, some organza ribbon and tied them off with thin twine.

I used lovely sentiments from the ATC Vintage Christmas Clear Stamp Set, for these blue tags and also for the red ones below. I think they're a great fit for the Vintage shabby chic look I was going for. You may note I did three different colour ways for the teddies and really love each one, but the little one above is my favourite. I used Memento Rich Cocoa to stamp the images and text on the tags, for a warmer softer finish.

The recipe for the red tags was essentially the same, except I did two Santa images with red plaid papers and one of the teddies with another lovely red plaid paper from a different paper pack. I think the sentiment pairing for the two Santa tags is so perfect! 

I used a mix of chunky glitter and white flower soft on the trims of Santa's outfit, a fun fluffy finish for these tags. I did some serious fussy cutting on those Santa suits too!
