Whimsy Stamps ~ Chocolate Lovin' Donkey Fun

Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in today with a card I posted over on Instagram very quickly while my in-laws were visiting. I'm very late to post it here, but wanted to make sure I added all the details of this cute design here too.

I sat and crafted this while my mother-in-law chatted to me this past week. I really wanted to colour up this cutie from the latest Whimsy release. I just think this wee donkey is SO cute! Crissy Armstrong brilliance. I so love her characters and this wee donkey is full of character and fun. I masked off the image and stencilled some stars around him, stamped the sentiments direct on the base paper and diecut the panel with a gorgeous Sprinkled Scallops Die Set from Whimsy. I wanted to be quick so I didn't take too much time while my in-laws were here, but I think my mother-in-law quite enjoyed seeing it come together. Quite a CAS design but super cute, with just a little fussy cutting to create the mask for the wee donkey. 

I created another card just after my in-laws left which I'll share very soon, I didn't realise when I was making it, I've used a sentiment which hasn't been released yet, so I'll need to hold that back until next month, doh! Back to the drawing board for a new idea, so I'll share that once it's made. My teamies have created magic with the latest release which you can click through to on their examples above.
