Whimsy Stamps ~ Goodbye Sweet Twm

Hello friends, I'm back with another card featuring that beautiful stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Love Has Four Paws. I have a darling friend in the UK who recently lost her sweet Welsh Sealyham Terrier. He was such a cute pup and so mischievous. This friend got her first pup after we left the UK and then another soon after, which was her sweet Twm. He had a few problems and had been poorly on and off since he was small. But I don't think anyone expected him to go quite as early as he did. So he will be greatly missed.

I saw this fabulous stamp set from Whimsy and knew immediately that this was the set to make a special card in remembrance of her sweet Twm. For those who are not familiar, Twm is the Welsh spelling of the name Tom, which means 'Gift From God' and I think this meaning would resonate for my lovely Welsh friend. His life was short, but he was a gift. I had kept the front of the card very simple and sombre, using brown inks to create the scene. Little pawprints making their way towards the rainbow bridge in the background and that lovely image which looks so like Twm centre-stage. I inked the edges of the card and added a little splatter in white to break up the very monochrome scene. I used some organza ribbon to create some interest behind the image panel which I'd cut into a Notched Rectangle with a fabulous Whimsy die set.

I decorated the inside of the card too, as I wanted to add a sentiment, but didn't want to add it to the front of the card. I used the lovely sentiment from the Paws To Remember Stamp Set from Whimsy, as I just feel this is so heartfelt and lovely for someone who has lost a beloved pet. Whimsy has several amazing stamp sets perfect for pet loss. I added a little interest to the bottom of the inside panel by diecutting it with the Paws and Bones Border Die Set from Whimsy. A little touch to bring it all together.

This year, Whimsy will be bringing their releases back together into one main release mid-month which will launch on the 15th of each month, with some smaller releases possibly earlier each month. Thanks for popping in to visit today friends, I hope you liked this creation and I hope my lovely friend who it's intended for will feel loved and supported when she receives it. I'll be back soon with another crafty adventure. Have a beautiful week! Hugs, Wends xoxo

(I've added thumbnails to make your shopping easier if you like any of the elements I've created with. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
