Lili of the Valley ~ Christmas Hedgies

Hey crafty friends, I am back with the cutest Christmas Hedgehogs today. I had a go at doing a Copic Coloured gradient sky, not my favourite, I have to admit, I didn't get a great blend with the top 3 colours, but you have to try things to know right?! Not one to throw things away either, I made it work! I just added a sentiment banner over that bit to reduce the impact of that area. I definitely prefer to use Distress Oxides for backgrounds, but wanted to try something different today.

I do think these sweet hedgehogs are rather delightful and was very happy with how the colouring on them came out. I possibly should have cropped the image into a landscape rectangle, didn't think of that until just now! LOL. I added some grey Copic colouring to the foreground to look like snowdrifts and a little Nuvo Glitter Drops over top for some snowy sparkle. I used a white Gelly Roll Pen to add some snowyfall in the sky and over the characters. I used an older die set for the gorgeous frame. My lovely blogging pal Sarah introduced me to this range and I have a few of these sets now. I love the frames I bought from The Paper Boutique and definitely don't use them enough! I love a shaped card and this range has some very pretty ones. This Die Set is called Season's Greetings Doily Die Set. I did find some in the UK and have linked in the thumbnail below. I still love to pull my older stash out for a play occasionally and thought this made a pretty frame for these two cuties! It's a well thought through set with the pretty detailed die layer and a backing frame, which you can use to diecut the card base!

I encourage you to check out the sweet creations my Lili of the Valley team mates have made in the lead up to Christmas. You can see their designs shared in the We Love Lili of the Valley Facebook Group. If you're not signed up there and love these images, do consider joining. It's a lovely group of crafters who enjoy sharing their Lili of the Valley themed creations. I will be back soon with another crafty adventure. In the meantime I wish you a fabulous and creative week. Happy December crafting! Hugs, Wends xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
