Whimsy Stamps ~ Ranger Hop Card 3

Hey crafty friends, life is going very fast right now. I'm spending lots of time with my Mumma who is needing a little extra help right now, so posts may be a little sporadic. I've lots of wrap up admin to do too for the end of the year. Never a dull day! But I wanted to share this adorable card I made for the third in the line up I shared as part of our Hop with Ranger Ink. It was such a cute card and came together very quickly and easily with a few fun elements.

I ink blended a panel with Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks, then die cut it into a mini slimline card size and then diecut it with the Mini Slim Pickens Gumdrops Die to create the little shaker wells.

I cut a background piece of white cardstock to the Mini Slimline size and then used the Mini Slim Pickens Stencil to mask off the area I wanted to add stencilled details to. I laid down some colour to create an ombré sky, then using the Winter Wonderland Stencil added some tree details in lavender hues. I just love how these little mini background scenes came out, they set the Wintery scene for my cute wrapped up penguin so perfectly!

I added some snowy details with both a white and sparkle gelly roll pen, then added some cute confetti embellishments. How sweet are those little pink snowflakes?! I cherry picked them out of a This Calls For Confetti Mix along with a couple of other sequins, as I wanted a slightly different mix of shaker elements. I added clear sead beads too for that extra swishy shaker sound. I built my shaker card up in the usual way, acetate to cover the windows, then narrow foam tape to create the little shaker wells, added the sequins and beads and then stuck it all together. I find my MISTI really useful to get the corners and sides aligned well.

I finished the card design off with some cute 'splash' sequins also from This Calls For Confetti. Whimsy Stamps has a great range of their sequins. I added the adorable penguin that had I coloured with Copics and then fussy cut. I'm waiting on my dies to arrive for this set, it'll be so much easier when they get here! Then I stamped the 'Just Believe' to complete the design and this cute shaker card was done!

Be sure to join in the fun with us for this fabulous hop collaboration. We have two fabulous prizes up for grabs! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventures. Until then, happy December, Wends xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible and occasionally am paid a small commission. I do not earn affiliate sales from my Whimsy links. This is just for tracking data. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
