Whimsy Stamps ~ Joy To The World!
Hey crafty friends, I hope your week is going well, less than a week until Christmas now. I'm still putting together the last of my Christmas cards, I've totally failed on my wish to send one out to all my crafty friends! There's just never enough time, especially with the busy time I have in the lead up to Halloween, so I've missed again, getting post to those I would really like to. But I'm still creating and may just have to turn a few into New Year's cards. I can't get enough of these sweet Winter Holiday Penguins from Crissy Armstrong, they're beyond adorable!
I'd prepped a panel a while back with some blue ink smooshed colour. I used Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Inks. I used a silver metallic ink to stamp the Curly Q's Background Stamp on the panel. This made such a lovely base for this design. A hint at swirly whirly snowfall.
This little cutie came together so quickly and well! I placed a little paper doily from my stash down to anchor the design, then layered over it the J and Y from the JOY word die. I've diecut a base layer from orange foam to stack the lovely copper matte metallic cardstock with and adhered that through the doily base with liquid adhesive, so all the layers adhered nicely.
I finished the design off by adding a sweet orange frame cut with the lovely Inverted Scallops Rectangle Die Set. I added the frame popped up on shaker foam strips for a bit of a box frame effect. I've been hunting through my stash to find the sentiment, 'to the world' to complete this card, but will have to come back to that later as the set is eluding me! But I think a little subsentiment will be perfect to finish this! I'll add an extra pic when I finally find it.
Thanks friends for popping in today. I hope you liked seeing this cute wee make. I have another with this set to share soon. I'm trying to catch up a bit with my blogging, so hopefully will get it shared tomorrow. But it's hubby's office party and I've a full day beforehand, so we'll see! Is your December going as fast as mine?! See you soon, Wends xoxo
(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible and occasionally am paid a small commission. I do not earn affiliate sales from my Whimsy links. This is just for tracking data. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
