Whimsy Stamps ~ Graduation Celebration!

Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in today with a quick share of a card I made for my darling niece who has just graduated with her law degree. We're all so proud of her. She's the first lawyer in our family and it's not at all the career path I thought she'd choose when she was younger! We're so proud of her tenacity and determination to follow this path. She already has a job lined up and today is her birthday too!

Her graduation colour was this beautiful pale blue, so I themed the card to reflect this. I used a lovely pale blue cardstock from Concord and 9th called Harbor as the base to the design and paired it with a toning envelope in Seaglass from Gina K Design. I have a similar coloured envelope from Simon Says Stamp which is called Audrey Blue, which would also have paired well. I'm still collecting a few of the Concord and 9th envelopes.

I framed the image with a matt gold cardstock and embossed the lovely sentiment from the stamp set with gold embossing powder to match. The image I coloured with Copic Markers and I added a stencilled background to add a wallpaper like feel.

I added a little image and sentiment to the inside of the card to complete the design. Another sentiment from the same set as the images. I used a dark brown ink so it toned with the rest of the design as I didn't use black ink for either image. I wanted more muted tones for the stamped images.

Thanks for popping in to visit. I hope you've enjoyed this creative adventure. I've had such a full year of creative adventures and I'm grateful to all who stop in to visit my blog, even moreso if you leave me a comment, because then I know you've been and can visit in kind. I'm still holding on to my blog, despite less visits than earlier days, it seems IG is the favoured medium now for crafty posts, but I still love blogging and prefer to share my full creative adventures here. So thank you, so very much, for continuing to visit my little corner of the creative blogosphere.

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible and occasionally am paid a small commission. I do not earn affiliate sales from my Whimsy links. This is just for tracking data. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
