Whimsy Stamps ~ Good Vibes

I have a friend who is going through some tough stuff and I wanted to send some 'good vibes' and happy wishes to, so I coloured up this adorable pixie from Whimsy's Some Odd Girl Digital Range and paired her with the coolest new paper set from Whimsy Stamps. How gorgeous is all that wash of colour in those papers?!

I used a cute frame to create the top and bottom detail on the image panel, layered it over the patterned paper which I first rounded the corners of with a wider corner rounder punch. I did the same to the slimline card base I created from toning pink cardstock and finished the design with the awesome 'Good Vibes' Word Die from Whimsy Stamps.

I used the diecut letters from the Good Vibes Die Set to decorate the inside of the card. I used the frame to ensure I glued all the letters down in just the right way, then lifted the frame away to leave just the letters in place. I made sure when I was doing the diecutting to ensure I kept all the 'little pieces' which are often 'waste' as they needed to be glued back in place to complete the diecut words on the front of the design.

For those of you curious about my colouring process. I snapped a lil' pic of the colours I used for this sweet pixie's hat and pinafore. I don't often reach for these pinks, but the colours in the paper were just so bright and joyful, I felt it was a good pairing. I've used RV29, 25, 23 and 21 for the pinks. I didn't take note of all the colours I used, just this dominant combination. I chose very gentle colours for the rest of outfit, to allow that pink to really feature. The sunflower I've used a mix of oranges and browns and I tend to favour YR27 and 24 for these more golden yellow tones and I will definitely have used those on the Sunflower. I likely will have used E99 for some of the darker accents too. Thanks for popping in to visit friends, I will be back with another crafty adventure soon. Until then, happy creating! Hugs, Wends xoxo

It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
