Sweet Stampin' ~ Christmas in July

Hey friends, it's time for another Sweet Stampin' challenge and this month, we're having a Christmas in July challenge, to encourage us all to pull out our Christmas stash and get crafting, because before we know it, Christmas will be here again! I made this card a little while back, but never had the chance to share it and with life being a little full lately, I thought this was a good time to share it, so I'm joining in with Team Susan for this challenge. 

I loved making this sweet Christmas card. I used a couple of lovely toning LOTV toppers to create this. I find I reach for LOTV's beautiful toppers the closer my creating gets to Christmas and I just thought these two scenes gave a lovely neighbourhood feel with the snowmen out in the yard. They're both such lovely scenes and so remind me of England at Christmas. You may have heard me say before, I love a Kiwi New Years, but I do miss our English Winter Christmases. I used a slimline card base and a border frame from Whimsy Stamps. I cut the actual frame from a shimmery ivory cardstock and then ran the topper scenes through the same die so I could paper piece them in the right places. I stamped a lovely greeting from Whimsy and embossed it in copper in the central panel, then added some tiny shiny stars to finish the card in the top and bottom narrow panels to add that little touch of sparkle and shine.
