Whimsy Stamps ~ The Bosses Birthday Celebration!
Hey crafty friends, it's our wonderful Whimsy founder and boss Denise Lynn's birthday and the Whimsy DT are celebrating her today by sharing the birthday creations they've made for her. But in true Whimsy style, we want to share the birthday joy with our Whimsy customers and fans of the Whimsy line. Three of the DT got together to provide the prize for one lucky winner.
This is the card I created for my lovely boss. I used one of the Toner Card Fronts to create the fireworks base, which I foiled with a rainbow foil. I ink blended the fireworks and surrounding sky and then stencilled the fireworks below in yellow to continue the scene behind the dancers. I added the silhouettes of the Retro Dancers and a strip of lawn cut with the Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set to ground the scene. I finished the card design by edging it in gold. I ran my embossing dauber along the edge of the slimline card base and then added gold embossing powder to the edges and heat set. A subtle but nice finish for this festive card. The final detail I added was the YAY word die, which I cut from Simon Says Stamp Holographic Aqua Cardstock. I think it added a fun bit of interest to the card and when moved it catches the light with lots of different flashes of colour. I shared a reel that shows this well over on my IG page.
We have a wonderful celebration running right now for Denise, so be sure to stop by and check that out in our Facebook Group. There's a great prize up for grabs for one lucky contributor, who shares a Whimsy birthday card they've created in the gallery along with our cards for Denise from the Design Team. So come check it out here. Entries close at the end of the 19th. Winner for the $75 Whimsy Gift Certificate will be notified on the 20th. I'll be back with another creative adventure very soon. Until then, happy crafting! Hugs, Wends xoxo
(If you like any of the elements I've created with, I've added thumbnails to make your shopping easier. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
