Whimsy Stamps ~ Veteran's Day
Hey friends, today I'm sharing a couple of cards using some fabulous stamp sets from Whimsy Stamps that are perfect for sending to serving soldiers and veterans. Whimsy has one of the widest and best ranges I've seen for this purpose. They have sets for males and females in the services and even have some designated services too. My grandpa was a fighter pilot, so I made the first card I'm sharing in his memory.
Whimsy has an amazing paper set that has some pretty special icons and backgrounds. I used the page with the fighter jet and added it to an A2 top folding card base. I added a bead of black paper top and bottom to frame the paper and then stamped Air Force Veteran in honour of my Grandpa who lost his life in service.
This next card I thought could be fun for a birthday of a serving soldier. We watched Scent of Woman with Al Pacino recently with my youngest and he was quite taken with Pacino's story and character. The minute he saw this card, he said hooah, just as Al does in the movie. A very powerful piece which has stayed with him. I kept this card very simple, those footprints say it all for me. So it's an incredibly clean and simple card with a simple message. I made some other cards earlier in the year with some other Whimsy Military sets, the poppy card was a favourite. You can see that post here.
We have a fun event happening at Whimsy Stamps right now. We are sharing our 'Top 9' boards with our favourite Whimsy Stamps makes from across the year. I've shared two and have another to share soon too. You can check out the fun in our Facebook Group. Just click through on the banner above to head there.
We've also just had the most wonderful release at Whimsy Stamps. It's full of fun and fabulous stamp, die, stencil and quick card front sets, perfect for the holidays! I've just put an order for a few and I can't wait to get them! I love the look of those Dicken's Winter Scene Background Stamps. I'm itching to get my hands on the Christmas Washi Stickers too. They look so fun!
(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, and so appreciate if you use these when shopping. They cost you no extra whatsoever. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
