Sweet Stampin' ~ Weddings and Anniversaries

Hey friends, I meant to post this last weekend, but time got away from me, so I'm posting a little catch up today. We had a new challenge go live at Sweet Stampin' last Saturday and the theme is Weddings and Anniversaries. I have a card I made for one of my cousins when she got married and never had a chance to share, so thought it would be nice to join in with Team Susan for this challenge.

I've used some beautiful Kaisercraft paper for this creation and to be fair, it's the star of the show. So pretty! I cut the card into a fun fold called a Trifold Shutter Card, which I think I first saw Sage Kimble do some time ago, and if you would like to see her tutorial showing this card design, you can click through here. If you'd like a template with the measurements, Sage has one on her site here

This beautiful Kaisercraft paper is really old and I don't recall the name of the paper pad, but I'll update if I find the details. I'm pretty sure it's Kaisercraft, if it's not, then it's from my My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad stash! I added a little wedding ring bit of ephemera I had in my stash to decorate the front of the card and some diecut butterflies which I added some sparkle to with a Wink of Stella pen. The little butterflies are from a very old little butterfly punch, and the slightly larger one inside the card is from Cheery Lynn. The set has three lovely smaller butterflies in it. This is also really old stash, but still such lovely butterflies. The name of the die set is Small Exotic Butterflies #1 with Angel Wings.

I think this sentiment is such a beautiful one for weddings and again, I wish I could recall where in my stash it was to find the manufacturer, but since the house shift, I've not uncovered all my stamps and this was made before we moved, so I've not been able to hunt it down. If anyone knows, feel free to tell me and I'll update the details. I craft faster than I blog, so I do have a bit of a backlog of cards still to post, apologies that I'm so vague with the details for this creation.

One final pic with the card open as one might rest it on a mantel, showing the front panels all lined up. I think it is just so intriguing all the panes, and the interaction between them. I definitely need to make another card like this. So far, this is the only one I've made with this Trifold Shutter design, but definitely time to do another. I think it's just such a fun and interesting fold!

Do pop over to the blog to check out the rest of my talented teamies creations for this challenge and if you're able to join us for the fun, we'd love to see what you're inspired to do! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, until then, hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

Update: I found the Kaisercraft paper details. The paper pad was called 'Oh So Lovely' and it really is! Such pretty florals and toning papers. I'm happy I found it, though sadly, will be long out of print now, but you never know, might someday come back as a digital?!
