Whimsy Stamps ~ August New Release

Hey friends, hot on the tail of my last post, I'm sharing a creation I've made for the August New Release with a sweet little Autumn Hedgehog. I've gone for an Autumnal palette, with a lovely paper rich in Autumn hues from Whimsy Stamps rather aptly, with the same name. I diecut the paper with an envelope edger die to create a pelmet style top for the card. I worked on a kraft card base, ink blending a background with some Distress Oxide Ink and then adding a little splatter with some Mica Sprays.

I stamped the sentiments in Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink and then sprinkled them with Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder. The embossing powder has some green tinted sparkles in it and when it catches the light really give a lovely Autumnal flash of colour. I coloured the sweet hedgehog with Warm Grey Copic Markers and added him to the card base popped up on foam. I added several little Autumn hued gems also with a lovely green iridescence, dotted around the card to finish. These are from This Calls For Confetti and are Amber Sparkle Gems. Sweet, simple and full of Autumn vibes. This set from the New Release is really sweet and I'm keen to find a minute to colour up some of the other cuties in the set too.
