Whimsy Stamps ~ Masculine Card, Let's Go Play Sport

Well that's not a phrase you'd hear me say often, as I'm not the sportiest of peeps, but this latest release from Whimsy has a very cool stamp set with some fun sport themed elements that I knew would be perfect to create a card for one of our Football lovin' friends. 

I had fun creating an inky background for this stamp set. I grabbed some Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Fresh Lime and I also used some Distress Mica Spray in Harvest Moon and sprayed and splattered the background liberally. Once dried I diecut it with Whimsy's Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I Copic coloured the image in bands of colours for a fun effect and added a little grey to the Football for shading.  I mounted the images on foam and added them to the inky base. Then I mounted the base on foam and added it to a side folding card base, but used it in landscape format, so it's still a 'top folding' card. I kept this card pretty simple adding only a few nuvo drops to finish.
