Sweet Stampin' ~ CAS Cards

Hey crafty friends, I have a sweet card to share today, that I made for one of our extended family. A clean and simple design, perfect for our challenge this week at Sweet Stampin'. I used a beautiful kit from Simon Says Stamp. This stamp set was part of the March 2023 Card Kit. My hubby bought me a subscription for my last birthday and it's been such a treat to get a few this past year. This kit was one I bought before that gift from hubby, because I adored the Scandinavian theme to this set and rather responsible for my answer when he asked what I'd like for my birthday! (Very blessed and I know it!)

My rustic CAS design was quite simple. I sprayed a panel with some lovely inky hues of Mica Spray Stains in blues and silvers to get the shimmery background. Then I stamped the image several times, (thank Heavens for my MISTI) to get a nice dark inky impression over the Mica Stains. I then diecut it with an older, retired Whimsy Square frame, that has lovely rounded edges and mounted it onto a square kraft card base, popped up on foam for a bit of dimension and interest. I did a very simple wrap of twine around the mounted panel and tied in a simple knot to finish. I stamped the greeting in black VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink, my favourite for crisp clear sentiments. I absolutely love how this card came together and it was well received too, which was lovely!

Thanks for popping in to visit today. I hope you're able to come and join us for our CAS Challenge at Sweet Stampin'. Do stop by the challenge to check out what my talented teamies got up to for this challenge, they always bring something fun and different to the table. See you again soon with another crafty adventure. Hugs, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
