Hey crafty friends, I'm back with another spooky creation for our Halloween 2025 season at Whimsy Stamps! I'm very proud to be a Whimsy Stamps Halloweener. I could not love their Halloween range more! These past couple of years, they have raised the bar for Halloween creating with all the amazing sets they've produced and I'll let you in on a little secret, they have some pretty epic stuff coming this year too! I've been trying to get a little more adventurous with my techniques and this year, I've pulled out some Distress Crayons, to create this eery background. I love how it turned out and had such fun creating this! The Distress Crayons I used were Twisted Citron to the central area, Peacock Feathers around that and Mermaid Lagoon towards the outer edges. I was just playing, throwing colour down, adding water and moving the colour with my fingers. It was so fun and I love the finished background.

I created this spooky fun scene, with a combination of fabulous Whimsy Stamps Clear Stamp Sets. I've used the Bramble Wreath Stamp Set to add the fabulous wreath which I stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and then added clear embossing powder and heat set for that fun dimensional slightly shiny finish. The cat, one of the webs and that fabulous sentiment are from the Witch Broom Sale Clear Stamps and I added another web from the Good Fright Clear Stamp Set in the top left corner. The little dangling spider is from the Bramble Wreath and I added a little crawling one on the ground which the cat is spying, that one is from the Good Fright Clear Stamp Set too. So a real mix of sets, but they work so well together! I used clear embossing ink for the wreath, but a lovely sparkly one for the sentiment, so tipped in the light, it has some really lovely sparkle.

If you saw my previous post, you'll recall the panel I made to create the background of that sign. I first made it using this fabulous Vintage Wallpaper Rubber Cling Stamp, before I realised it would be better with the Farmhouse Shiplap Background Rubber Cling Stamp. This meant, I had a panel left over! So I took the shaped top off the first version I made (
you can see the images here as part of the first post). I inked the edges with some Distress Ink to add some depth to the edges and mounted it on a 7.5 x 7.5 inch black mat. It's a large piece, meant to be Halloween Décor rather than a card. I mounted the inked panel which comes with that lovely deckled edge already, over a piece of black cardstock to add a nice frame to the panel. The deckled edge watercolour cardstock is 6 x 4 inches. I coloured the whole piece and kept it that size, because the edge is so lovely, so this inspired the slightly larger sized piece. I took the pic above and felt the bigger panel needed just 'one more thing' to finish the piece, so I ended up adding a little book corner diecut to the top right corner, which you can see in the first pic. I think that was just the finish it needed.

My teamies have been knocking it out of the park with their spookalicious creations, so I hope you've had a chance to visit their socials and see all the magic they're brewing up! If not, click through on my banner below, it will take you to the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post which has all the teams social media links. We have a lot of fun planned for the season, so I hope you can join us over in the Whimsy Stamps Facebook Group too. I will be back soon with another crafty adventure. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo
