Lili of the Valley ~ Autumn Girls Pop Up Card

Hey crafty friends, a quick post from me today to share the sweet card I made with another of the Autumn Girls from Lili of the Valley. I had made this card base last Halloween and didn't end up using it for a creation then. It's been hanging around my craft space moved from spot to spot and when I finished up the colouring of this cutie, I plonked it near this ready made base and had a little 'aha' moment. I think they came together really fabulously!

I coloured up this cutie with Copic Markers as the whim took me. Purples for her dress, red for the leaves in her hair, which rather reminded me of a poinsettia. I used Autumn colours for the leaves on the ground, but kept those in her hair red. I'll be giving this card to one of my sweet nieces for Christmas. I love the way the red in her hair worked with the shimmery cardstock the card base is made from. Usually I put patterned paper on the base of these cards, but I loved the red just as it was. So I left it plain. Just adding the second sentiment on the base.

The top pic was taken in natural cooler light, but the sweet accents I added with sparkle pens is not visible. So I took a second shot on my kitchen bench under the spotlights. You can see the little highlights I added to the veins of the poinsettia-like leaves. The little star also has some sparkle and the silver buckle on her boot and her buttons, but these didn't catch in the light quite so well, so you'll just have to imagine those.

Lili of the Valley has this newer release out right now full of gorgeous Autumn images, be sure to check that out over in their Lili of the Valley Etsy Store. I will be back soon with something from their previous Halloween release, until then, have a beautiful day friends. Hugs, Wends xoxo
